Description of Learning :
On Monday 31 of August, we learned how to use strategies we already know to solve decimal problems. And also we learned how to identify and solve tricky decimal problems. How I solved this decimal problem, is that I first wrote the ones column and the tenth column. And then I wrote 9.6, 9.5 and 9.4. After that I added all the tenths column, after that I added all the tenth columns. And it's how I solved this problem.

My Poem

Walt: use our inferencing skills to find meaning in the text Outdoors in a Banana field Shadows of a group of ninja  ________ with their hands filled with bananas. Waiting in the Shadows for the owner to leave so they can steal all the bananas for his family and friends I watch them fill their potatoe sacks get filled with bananas.

Description of Learning :
Today room 6 literacy used our inferencing skills to find meanings in a text. After that we got in to panthers and started to write our very own poem. We had to trick the reader instead of making the poem obvious. I wrote a poem by myself about a group ninja minions, who had their hands filled with bananas. Who were waiting in the shadows for the owner to leave so they can steal all the bananas for his family and friends. I watch them fill their potatoe sacks get filled with bananas. If you like my poem let me know, by commenting below.

The Trade & Enterprise Fair

Have you heard of the Team 4 Trade fair ?
Walt: use language that paints a picture in the mind of our reader

This term our Inquiry was titled ‘Trade & Enterprise’. Our learning was focused on Trade & Enterprise. We had the chance to order other groups products. Our mission was to produce a product and then get customers to order it. If you want to find out more, then keep reading and I’ll tell you.

A Trade & Enterprise fair is when you have a business group, and you have created a product, and it’s ready to produce to the customers. At our very own team 4 Trade & Enterprise fair we had seven different groups. But admittedly I picked the jewellery & accessories.

We had a lot of different groups like, Custom stationery, Home ware, Kitchen, Toys and jewellery & accessories. I was in jewellery & accessories, I was also business partners with Heather and Lahval. We had a couple of unique ideas, we decided  going to create cool jewellery with loom band.

My Experience at the Trade & Enterprise Fair, was really unique and busy. To my group’s surprise, twenty one groups came to our booth. After the Trade & Enterprise Fair, me and my group were really proud of ourself.Because we really were confident that a lot of people were going to come to our booth. And I really thought it was a successful Trade & Enterprise Fair.

Me and my two partners are really busy now that we are having a second fair. And we also have twenty one orders to fill. If you liked this post then, you’ll have to check out my post about the second Trade & Enterprise Fair. But although I liked the first Trade & Enterprise fair. But I really imagine what the second one in week eight is going to be like. Hopefully it’s going to be successful like the first one was like.

Along the yellow brick road, to emerald city, Dorothy and her little dog, Toto, meet many frightening, and friendly creatures. The Scarecrow, the Cowardly lion and the Tin Woodman join her adventure, each hoping to meet the Great Wizard. Chocolate Heaven !!!!

Walt : use language that paints a picture in the mind of our reader.

The Product is Chocolate, it is Marvellous creation.
The Marvellous Creations popping candy had a lot of flavour. It felt like a  flavour bomb popping  in my mouth. It’s king size chocolate and the price was $5.40.The Aroma had a little hint of Coca Cola.

The Dark Chocolate, had rectangles on it’s surface. It’s taste was really unique, it had a taste of Milky and brown Chocolate. I would not give it any improvements at all.

I would recommend the product a ten out of ten. By a reason of it tasted unique and delicious. The sight of it had weird shapes with hidden black dots within the creamy brown chocolate was a bit concerning. But above a ten out of ten.
Description of learning :
We tasted the chocolates without knowing the flavour. We did that because when we know what we are eating it changes the way our brain thinks about it, it was really cool. When we did this we had to fill out this taste observation sheet of what we saw, felt, tasted, and smelt. We had to write one or two words that describes the chocolate, and then recaft into a fully detailed sentence. When we were writing we tried to paint a picture in our readers mind, because we wanted our reader to have a good idea of what we are taking about. If I would rate this chocolate I would give it a 10 out of 10.

Pakistan's independence Day

People all over Pakistan celebrate Independence Day People all over Pakistan celebrate Independence Day with patriotic zest. Many people who attend the Independence Day parades dress up in green and white, which are the Pakistani flag’s colours. People visit national monuments and places of national significance to celebrate Independence Day. This is also a time to meet relatives, exchange gifts and visit recreational spots.
Pakistan’s national flag is hoisted on public, private buildings, residences and monuments at dawn. Official buildings, including Parliament House, are decorated and colourfully lit. The prime minister and president address and congratulate the nation and talk about the day’s significance. Streets and houses are decorated with candles, oil lamps and pennants. Firework shows are put together on the eve of Independence Day.
Pakistan’s Independence Day also pays homage to people who devoted their lives for Pakistan’s freedom movement and made sacrifices to attain Pakistan’s independence. A change of guard takes place at national monuments, including the mausoleums of Muhammad Iqbal, who was a poet, philosopher, and politician, and Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who is considered by many as Pakistan’s founder and Quaid-i-Azam (supreme leader).
Events held during the day include special theatre shows, national song competitions, concerts, and Independence Day pageants. Radio and television stations broadcast national songs and specially prepared Independence Day programs.
Public Life
Independence Day is an official holiday in Pakistan on August 14. All governmental, non-governmental offices, organizations, educational institutions, post offices, and major markets are closed.
Public transport remains unavailable on all major routes. Traffic congestion is common due to Independence Day parades.

Background
The Indo-Pak subcontinent remained a British colony from 1849–1947. The subcontinent’s inhabitants did not approve of the British rule in united India. An uprising that occurred in 1857 eventually formed the shape of a freedom movement, which exemplifies the efforts of the people of British India in gaining their independence.
Muslims ruled the subcontinent before the British incursion and suffered due to the 1857 uprising against the British East India Company. Leaders such as Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Syed Ameer Ali worked diligently for the Muslim people’s political advancement.
The Indian National Congress was formed in 1885, which later on became British India’s largest political party. Major Muslim political leaders, including Muhammad Ali Jinnah, were members of the Indian National Congress and worked towards Hindu-Muslim unity and India’s independence.
The All India Muslim League was founded on December 30, 1906. There was growing demand for an independent Muslim state in India. In 1930 Muhammad Iqbal presented the idea of a separate Muslim state that would geographically consist of the Muslim majority areas in the subcontinent. The word Pakistan is a conjunction of two words Pak meaning Pure and Stan meaning Land, a name coined by Choudhary Rahmat Ali.
Strong Hindu nationalism gave birth to the Two Nation Theory, an ideology that is accredited as being the basis for Pakistan’s creation. In 1940 the Pakistan Resolution was passed in Lahore demanding greater Muslim autonomy in British India.
After World War II, it was expected that the British colonies would soon disintegrate. The Pakistan Movement, spearheaded by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, resulted in creating a Muslim state. Pakistan gained independence from the British rule on August 14, 1947. At its birth, Pakistan had two parts commonly referred to as East and West Pakistan. In 1971 East Pakistan parted from West Pakistan and became Bangladesh.

Problem Solving Practice

Walt: use strategies we already know to solve decimal problems

Advice Column

Walt : Think critically about what we read

Description of learning :
Today our task was to write an advice blog, we learnt how to think critically about
what we read and write. We had a person named James Abel, who wanted some advice.
He needed some advice and information, about a fitness watch. But he didn't know much
about them. I learnt how to think critically about what I write and read. The word critically means
that you read or write something and you think it over and over. For an example :
This person wrote that there is a sale at Footlocker. And then the another person read it.
After the other person read it, he thought about it for a long time, which means he thought critically.
